luck and risk

luck is for destiny,
what’s written in the stars.
it’s the hand you’re dealt.

risk, on the other hand,
is for human nature, free will,
it’s what you do with what you’ve got.

the two work in tandem,
weaving the threads of life
into this incredible tapestry
of our universe:

just a reminder to myself
to do my part
and work alongside the gods
in harmony,
go for the delicious,
give everything one-hundred percent.

you know,
that sort of thing.
